Meet Maronda

If you're considering therapy, chances are you already know something needs to change — you just haven't found the right person to help you get there. That's where I come in.

I've spent 22 years walking alongside people as they work through trauma, rebuild their sense of self, and step into the lives they actually want to live. My core belief is simple: you create your life. Therapy, done well, gives you the tools and the clarity to do exactly that.

My practice centers on EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a powerful, evidence-based approach for healing trauma and the patterns it leaves behind. I weave in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and somatic techniques as well, because healing isn't just a mental process — it lives in the body and in every part of who you are. Clients often tell me I have a way of making EMDR feel approachable instead of intimidating, and that they feel my genuine warmth from our very first meeting.

I hold a master's degree in counseling and am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in both North Dakota and Minnesota, as well as a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) in North Dakota. Fifteen of my 22 years in this field were spent as a college counselor, which shaped how I show up with clients: patient, direct, and genuinely invested in your growth.

Outside the office, you'll find me at the lake, traveling, out on a bike ride, or spending time with family and friends — the same things that remind me why a life worth creating is worth fighting for.

If you're ready to do that work, I'd be honored to be part of it.

People who know me — and clients who've worked with me — tend to describe me the same way: calm, caring, and genuine. I've spent 31 years as a college counselor and hold a master's degree in counseling along with my license as a Professional Counselor (LPC). For the past year, I've been building my private practice, and it's been one of the most rewarding chapters of my career.

My work centers around navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, and self-confidence, and I'm trained in EMDR to help clients work through difficult experiences. I have a particular interest in supporting neurodivergent clients.

Much of what I do comes back to one idea: I love helping people find a career where they get to go to work, versus having to go to work. When your career fits who you are, everything else — your confidence, your mental health, your sense of purpose — tends to follow.

Outside the office, you'll usually find me golfing with friends, out on my bike, at the lake, or traveling — anything that gets me outside and spending time with the people I care about.
